Shibu Hotel provides guests with a master key granting free entry to all nine public bathhouses in Yudanaka, each fed by natural hot springs with 1300 years of history. The hotel also has its own indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths, plus a newly renovated private onsen that can be reserved for an additional 2000 yen. Soaking in the private outdoor tub, guests watch snow fall while hot water flows from a bamboo chute.

Dining

Dinner at Shibu Hotel is a traditional multi-course Japanese meal served in a private dining room, featuring Shinshu beef as a highlight. Breakfast and dinner are Japanese set meals served in the dining hall, with dietary restrictions accommodated if notified at least 5 days in advance. The hotel does not provide halal food and cannot alter broth made from bonito flakes, kelp, or dried sardines.

Rooms

Shibu Hotel Yamanouchi offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, futon bedding, and large windows that frame seasonal mountain views. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, a mini-refrigerator, and a private toilet, while shared bathhouses are used for hot spring bathing. Guests receive yukata robes, geta clogs, and green tea for an authentic ryokan experience.

Location & Transportation

Shibu Hotel Nagano offers a free shuttle service from Yudanaka Station, arriving in 8 minutes, and also drives guests to Jigokudani Yaen-Koen (Snow Monkey Park) 25 minutes away. The hotel is 25 minutes from Shiga Kogen Ski Area and 1 hour by car from Zenkoji Temple. On-site parking is free, and the hotel can arrange luggage storage and shipping to onward destinations.
